Dr. Yucheng Liu promoted to full professor

Congratulations to Dr. Yucheng Liu, who was promoted to full professor effective Fall 2019. Dr. Liu holds the Jack Hatcher Chair in Engineering Entrepreneurship. Dr. Liu’s research has focused on the areas of multiscale material modeling and simulation, high strain rate performance of materials, vehicle systems design and analysis, and hydropower and wave energy technology. He has published more than200 peer-reviewed publications, including more than 100 journal articles. He has been the PI and co-PI for over 40 research projects funded by NSF, DOD, DOE, NASA, FAA, Louisiana Board and Regents, and industry with the total amount of $8.8M. Dr. Liu is an ASME fellow and holds active membership in SAE, AAAS, and ASEE. He is a Professional Engineer registered in Ohio State.  He also serves as the Graduate Coordinator in the Department of Mechanical Engineer. In 2016 he received the Outstanding Senior Faculty Research Award from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, and in 2018 he received the Bagley College of Engineering Faculty Research Award.
