Cho named ICET Associate Director of Graduate Research

ME Ph.D. student wins prestigious scholarship from ASTM International
Aref Yadollahi, a ME Ph.D. student, has been chosen as one of four recipients of the 2017 ASTM International scholarship. The scholarship rewards graduate students who have demonstrated high levels of interest and involvement with ASTM Standards. The awardees receive $10,000 to be used for their educational expenses. Congratulations to Dr. Yucheng Liu, Dr. Lei Chen, and Dr. Mark Horstemeyer, who have been awarded $386,689 from the National Science Foundation (NSF) to conduct research on “Theoretical understanding of porosity-induced mechanisms during solidification of cast alloys and their influence on process-structure-property correlations.”
